Your counter
Are you using this number to protect space—or counting down until they come back?
Choose one option for a bounded next move. This choice stays in this page session.
Restart rules, without turning the number into a verdict
Necessary logistics and an emotional restart are not always the same thing, so use the restart check before changing the date. Direct personal or emotional contact can mark a new start. A narrow reply about children, work, bills, property, or formal paperwork does not automatically require one. Online checking can keep the loop active, but this tool will not silently change your date.

Counter questions
What counts as Day 1?
The counter uses exact elapsed time. A full day appears after 24 hours, not when the calendar changes.
Does necessary contact restart the counter?
Not automatically. Keep it limited to the actual task and use the Necessary Contact Filter.
Does checking social media restart no contact?
The counter does not force that definition. Checking may still continue the attention loop, so treat it as a boundary signal.
